I think this is scary because of the monopoly it creates. And I too hope that DTP and Web are developed seperately. On the plus side, we may see more PS - Flash intergration, making it easier for die hard PS users. As Prabhath says, let's wait and see..

Important thing is that this clearly creates a monopoly in terms of online presentation formats.And we may expect a higher price tag too.But the interesting thing would be the way they merge two product lines. I wish they may maintain two lines for DTP & web. (I highly dought though) oh.. no.. I don't need a Dreamweaver CS..! never...

i notice that digg.com is just now breaking this. I use Adobe extensively, but Macromedia is more heavily web integrated. I wonder if they're going to phase out overlapping software like Freehand?
